DoctoR Syafiq or Captain Syafiq??

.:السلام عليكم:.

I'm sure this is my last post for Ramadhan 1430H..it's about a week before Eid(Rya Aidilfitri) + departure to Egypt..yet,i haven't start packing..i haven't finish duin my shopin..i haven't prepare my home for raye..need to change the curtain, need to order ketupat + sate, need to recheck those stuffs with my housemates..arghh!!!why there are so many thin to do in a short time..one of Hassan Al- Banna famous quote occured in my minds :

Wahai pemuda!!Kerja kita banyak,masa kita kurang..bangunlah!!
(the Malay translation is better..ha3)

This picture intended to create 'Raye mood'..hik3

Just to share with the bloggers..i just received a phone call today..guess who??the officer from MAS Cadet Pilot Programme called me..he gladly told me that i have passed the interview.. Flabbergasted + joyful + thankful when i heard the words uttered by him..well,it's my dream to become a pilot.. Though,i had to reject the offer..well,i have give my all (just like Mariah Carey..kih3) for this Egypt thing..I hope i dun make a wrong choice when i choose medicine in Egypt as my next field of study..i always thinking why do i make this choice..frankly speaking,i had told myself since school i wanna be a pilot..now,the chance is already there..all i have to do is grab it..yet,i just squander it..guess being a doctor is not my cup of tea (not suited me at all actually)..i dun have the characteristics of a doctor..

A doctor must be punctual + friendly + NERD (my impression on them..kih3).. These are the must thing that a doctor must have..so,i guess i'm out of it..i prefer to be sumtin that dun need to read + study + memorize much..i guess my brains are mathematical type..i have no problem wit Add Math since form 4..scoring A1 for Add Math is so so for me(kih3)..yet,my biggest quandary are History,Islamic Study n Biology..too many too memorize..those terms and definitions make them tougher..Nevertheless,thanked to my friends that willing to teach + guide along the way..a friend in need is a friend indeed..i'm sure it will be hard for me to find friends like them..

a nerd,geek or dork??

This whole medicine thing was actually my parents reverie + hope..they want to see there are at least a doctor in our family..so,guess being the eldest means you have to be the trendsetters and examples to the young ones..so,they will continue the legacy inaugurate by me..

Last but not least, thanks to Yayasan Terengganu that willing to give me the chance to further my study at the Middle East + meet new friends..or i have to take that biomedical engineering at UM i guess..for sure i'll become a pure geek(hik3)..this would be my new family at Egypt :

1. Papa Rock
2. The Victim
3. Mr. Nerd
4. The Poet
5. Adeq
6. Shahrukh
7. Tuanku
8. Nasi Goreng
9. OneFaiz
10. Orang Cni

p/s : the name is in alphabetical order rite?!

Guess my BLUE personality had prone me to write this post..nothing to say i presumed except till we meet again next year Ramadhan + Malaysia and....

BOOK REVIEW : DarE tO FaiL?!

.:السلام عليكم:.

This week was quite packed..alhamdullilah,i'm able to arrange a plan with my fellow friends to visit our Ustaz Mourad at Belara.. however,it didn't happen as plan..we phoned him at last minute intented to surprise him..yet,we who surprised when he told us that he has class that noon..frankly speaking,we quite dissappointed.. Luckily,we abled to come up with PLAN B which we decided to make a visit to Ustaz Fauzi’s house..quite anxious that he might has class that noon,we called him..luck was on our sides,he told us that he was home + on holiday(still studying for his Phd)..spent about 1 hour at his home,we made stopovers at Org Cni + Lya houses before headed home..thanked to Shahrul and Zahir who were willing to drive throughout the journey..

The next day was more hectic..we have a briefing regarding our flight to Egypt + break fast with Dato’ Ahmad..yet,i would like to share with the bloggers about a book that i read this week..well,the dun get me wrong..the book is not so thick (just in case you labelled me as nerd + bookworm)..eventhough ‘never judge a book by its cover’ but the cover was damn gorgoeus..DARE TO FAIL,a catchy title rite?..who want to fail?a failure is like the end of the world for us..the book that was written by Billi P.S.Lim actually should be a wake up call for all of us..this non – Muslim writer help us to find the ‘hikmah’ behind any failure with his own experience..every clouds has its silver lining rite?

The story and example potrayed was staggering..here,i rewrite the one of the story(the shortest story available actually..kih3) :

An old man once lost a horse. His neighbours all came to console him. But the old man said, "It may turn out to be a good thing." A few months later, the horse came back by itself and brought another fast horse with it. The old man's neighbours this time came to congratulate him. But he said, "This may turn out to be bad."

One day, the old man's son went out riding on the fast horse. the horse ran too fast, and his son fell down and broke his leg, became crippled and handicapped(so,what do you think, is it a bad thing??).. years later, the country was at war with its neighbours. All abled bodied youths were drafted to become soldiers. Many of the youths died in that war except the old man's son(so, what do you think, is it a good thing?)

Here some intresting quotes from the book :

Bad may not be bad, it may be good; good may not be good, it may be bad..

"Every adversity, every failure, every handicap, every physical ailment, every unpleasant circumstance and experience carries with it the seed of an equivalent benefit, often in some hidden form"

Every failure is a lesson that drives a person to try a new approach never tried before.

As a conclusion, it's not how far you fall, but how high you bounce that matters..a loser will not always remain a loser..so,let us proved ourselves..we are the messager of Allah..we have the best guidance ever, Al – Quran.. Allah will always lite up the way as along as we fear and never neglect Him..

TriBute tO Housemate

.:السلام عليكم:.

Last Sunday was very exhausting..shopping at Mydin Mall wit my housemate-to-be was like babysitting..annoying + fun..as usual,we promised to meet at 10 o'clock and arrived there around 11..erm,i forgot to inaugurate my fellow housemate..here a short introduction about them..

Zaidi aka Nasi Goreng

well..it's is his idea in the first place who put us in a house..i have no objection on that..anyway, i'm single and available(terpromote myself)..the title 'nasi goreng' was originated from our arabic teacher, Ustaz Mourad..eventhough Zaidi prefers to introduce himself as 'kacang' but Ustaz Mourad always dubbed Zaidi as 'nasi goreng' in class..so,i guess the name stay..

Asyraf aka The Victim

Eventhough Seraf was the oldest among us but his attidute quite ill-matured(kih3)..i prefer to label him as 'The Victim'..dun get me wrong..it's not me who always pulling his legs but others do it(ha3,i'm stay out of it)..there's an incident of him with Paih's sweet wrapper (funny+disgusting when it occur in my mind again..kah3)..i guess let just me and Paih giggle about that..let gone bygones rite??

Duan aka Mr. Nerd

wasn't his face symbolized 'kenerdan'(kah3..but serious, nerd rite?)..this whole nerd thing was Seraf idea..well, i dun know how to describe him but for sure he love to eat..erm,he love to bluff and quite exasperating + irritating sumtims..yet,he always has his own opinions on sumtin which make him inimitable..

Ejaq aka Adeq

He dislikes me to call him ADEQ but 'ske ati aq r'(i look stupid when i speak in malay..hik3)..dun kesot yet..erm,he's a jolly type but try to act firm sumtin (which is quite weird)..a nice guy..he always concerned for other in his own ways..respect others and always be careful on his action..love to nyibuk in others Cbox and promote his blog..that all i guess..

Well, here some pics that we captured during our 'Shopin Day!'..i guess we spent around RM400++..what can i say,a big appetite come with a big tummy..

a snap with our 1 year food stock in Egypt

side - view of our trolley

Sup Bunjut Adabi, 10kg of Milo,Cukup Rasa,Mee Lidi and ...

we aren't over shopin rite?!

I guess the shopping went well..eventhough i thought we are too much..erm,this post is a tribute to my housemate to be on what i'm think about them..everyone has their own opinion on sumtim(read about Nematoda beside)..this what make them different+special.. to Tuanku,Org Cni, Shahrukh, The Poet,Papa and OneFaiz..the next post will be dedicated to you..

WaYs to iNCREASE OuR iMaN

.:السلام عليكم:.

Alhamdullilah, finally i have the time to quote new post for THE VOYAGE..i changed my blog's title from THE JOURNEY to THE VOYAGE..for me the voyage symbolized a mammoth journey..my journey of becoming a medical student haven't started yet..i had a long path too go.. for sure hardship and misery would my companion..hoping to find knowledge, guidance and true friendship along the way to steer me and ensure i'm on the rite track..anyway,i would like to share with the bloggers about a book that i read earlier this week..the book was in BAHASA MELAYU so it surely took time for me to translate those meaning(i had to refer to dictionary as my English was very bad) to share with all of you..

one of my 'friend' who always there when i need it

WAYS TO INCREASE OUR IMAAN

1) Recite and ponder on the meanings of the Quran.
Tranquillity then descends and our hearts become soft..to get optimum benefit, remind yourself that Allah is speaking to you..people are described in different categories in the Quran; think of which one you find yourself in.

2) Realize the greatness of Allah.
Everything is under His control..there are signs in everything we see that points us to His greatness..everything happens according to His permission..Allah keeps track and looks after everything even a black ant on a black rock on a black moonless night.

3) Make an effort to gain knowledge.
People who have taqwa are those who have knowledge..knowledge is a weapon..without weapon,we are vulnerable to any threat.

4) Attend gatherings where Allah is remembered.
In such gatherings like tazkirah or fiqr' aml,we are surrounded by malaikat and they will pray for our safety during the gathering.

5) Increase our good deeds.
One good deed leads to another good deed..Allah will make the way easy for someone who gives charity and also make it easy for him or her to do good deeds..good deeds must be done continuously, not in spurts.

6) Fear the miserable end to our lives
the remembrance of death is the destroyer of pleasures..remember the different levels of akhirah..for instance, when we are put in our graves, when we are judged, whether we will be in paradise or hell.

7) Make doa
realize that we need Allah..e humble.dun covet material things in this life.

8) Our love for ALLAH must be shown in actions.
we must hope Allah will accept our prayers, and be in constant fear that we do wrong..before going to sleep, we must think about what good we did during that day aka muhasabah.

9) Realize the effects of sins and disobedience-
one's Iman is increased with good deeds and our Iman is decreased by bad deeds..everything that happens is because Allah wanted it..when calamity befalls us, it is also from Allah..it is a direct result of our disobedience to Allah.

There was a hadith :

"Kindness is not to be found in anything but that it adds to its beauty and it is not withdrawn from anything but it makes it defective."

Hope my post would us to scrutinize ourself..

RumBia Camp?! (pARt 1)

.:السلام عليكم:.

I received a call from YT that morning.she asked me to take a letter at her office that day.well, she told me that the letter was regarding a preparation program that I had to attend before going to Egypt.i was shocked because as told to me by Encik Norazman himself, there are no any preparation programs like other overseas postgraduate student.i queried my father to pick up the letter on his way back from the office.as soon as I received that letter, I relieved that the program is relatively a course than other preparation program. Yet, it was
33 days (a long period for me who is a homesick..hahaha).well, as stated in the letter that attendance is compulsory which leave me no choice other than attend it.

On the 11th July (which is my mom’s birthday+sister’s registration day for IPIS), I reported myself at Rumbia Resort and Villa.this was my first time here and my first impression was WOW!. I had no idea this would be an Arabic class until I perceived the schedule (I hate this subject since school..hi3).nevertheless, the place was somewhat opulence and comfy for me. Let me see..we live in a house(not a dorm of course),around 6 – 8 people per house(mine 8 which the most), 2 bathrooms, fully air – conditioned and equipped with Astro.what could we asked more?!(hi3). Been put in the house no. 56 was an endowment.here I met these hot bachelors of the year:

* Ahmad Faizzuddin aka Paih – Islamic Study(Egypt)

* Amer Hudhaifah aka Hud– Arabic Language (Jordan)

* Mohd Aisamuddin aka Abg Ais - Islamic Study(Jordan)

* Mohd Zahir aka Zaher – Medicine (Egypt)

* Muhammad Bukhori aka Qori - Islamic Study(Egypt)

* Syakir aka Kay – Islamic Study(Egypt)

* Wan Mohd Khairuddin aka Kdin – Islamic Study(Egypt)

The camp was began with motivation conducted by Impact Learning Resource Sdn. Bhd. The motivation was more about knowing yourself and the Creator.the motivation was superb and outstanding.thank to Cikgu Johar and Encik Shawal who had show me that each people have their own potential to succeed in their own ways.

After those 2 days motivation program, our Arabic classes started that nite.as told to us, Ustaz Fauzi (one of the lecturer in UDM) and Ustaz Mourad(a Moroccan who live in Malaysia around 8 years) will teach us. Their ways of teaching were inimitable and remarkable. I personally who abhorrence Arabic language (not really) appeared to like this subject really much.

Ustaz Fauzi with his trademark (he2)

"kamu jangan menade - nade yer" would Ustaz Mourad's favourite phrase..

On the 2nd week, YT students which were 27 males and 17 females (correct me if I’m wrong) had a trip to Langkawi.we headed off from RRV around 9pm.making several stops made us arrived at the jetty around 10am.the journey continued like other tourists who had visited this Mahsuri Legendary Island.we checked in the resort and spent our nite there. Luckily Faiz brought his laptop or we might suffer that nite.the next day was the best part; we were able to see the sights in Pekan Kuah.some of us used this opportunity to ‘shopping’ (it’s a duty-free zone rite?!).the must – buy thing here was chocolate.they were many shops selling chocolate here.it‘s like a chocolate paradise (quite like Charlie and Chocolate Factory ).

aren't chocolate bad for our teeth?

Some of us used this opportunity to buy luggage, shoes and new outfits. at this point, I would like to nominate Loth aka PAPA ROCK as a shopaholic (hi3). Playing bowling at Jetty Point was our next plan. I had to admit it that some of us was quite good for a first – trier (it’s more about luck than technique itself..he3). Eventhough we were not good bowlers but we enjoyed our game.

do doctors bowl?let's the picturre talk

As usual, every evening would be dedicated to the pool (he3).i preferred to just relax on the bench provided rather than entailed myself in the pool. (it’s not about I’m hydrophobia or a float like affirmed by Orang Cni but I just want to make sure that the resort management knew that people still used the bench..just in case they want to rid it out..muahahaha).

the forgotten bench

That nite was quite dreary.we decided to spend our last nite here wisely.well, some of us preferred to stay at the resort while other went to bowl AGAIN! Erm..well, I decided to spend my nite at the cinema.watching ‘Transformer: The Rise of The Fallen’ was fairly adequate.despite packed with action and the graphic was amazing, you can’t really understand if you dun watch it from earlier movies.we walked from the cinema to our resort as it was too late and there no taxi by that time. the constellation of stars was startling which make us engrossed till we reached the resort.

We checked out early in the morning.i couldn't enjoyed the breakfast since i was late.everybody was in the bus already. listened to Kak Zura last anecdote made us eager to visit that island again.before we took the ferry,we had given chances by kak zura to take a snap at Dataran Lang about 15 minutes.

last snap on Langkawi

As we arrived at Kuala Perlis,we anticipated for several minutes for the bus to fetch us there.we took several stops before reaching RRV.yet, surprised awaited us when we reached we asked our house key at the receptionist.she gave us new house.she told us that our old house was already booked.our dissapointment was undescribable.accepting the key no 13,we made our move to the new house.

Every clouds has it own silver lining.our house was situated near our classes.moreover, our new neighbours were also YT student. we always gathered and enjoyed our new home.people do say.'the merrier the better' rite?

'pose maut or post maut'??

a bowl of Maggi for all

von apetite..
